21 Oct 2022 ↑ *Diwali Mela* is synonymous to bonding with cultural roots and acquainting children to the rich Indian culture and heritage. On 21st October 2022, the *PG Department Fashion Designing* of this esteemed institution has organised a Diwali Mela in the college premises under the able guidance of Principal Dr. Reena Talwar. Ms. Jyoti Saini, Head, Fashion Designing Department with the collaboration of her department arranged an exhibition of various items such as varied types of candles, toran, diyas , sceneries and many more to create the spirit of entrepreneurship in students.

 All the students of the said department participated in it with full enthusiasm and showcased their skills. Principal Mam along with the other staff members and students offered prayer to Goddess Lakshami. Stalls of Indian handicrafts, handmade lampshades, painted diyas and hangings were also set up to let people go on a little shopping spree which attracted the attention of students. The teachers and students of the college bought these luminous bundles of joy. The mela depicted the vibrance of this festival. The event was viewed by Mr. Inder Pal Singh Kalra, Regional Manager, RBO, Pathankot and Mr. Manav, Chief Manager of SBI. They appreciated the efforts of students. They even bought some of the items to gift to their employees. Madam principal wished everyone’s Diwali to be full of fun, good memories, and positive vibes. She appreciated the efforts of the head and the faculty members-Ms. Meenu, Ms. Romya Thakur, Ms. Vandhna, Ms. Lalita, Ms. Rajwant, Ms. Aditi, and Ms. Komal.
