08 Apr 2023 ↑ A grand and glamorous Fashion Spectra was held in Shanti Devi Arya Mahila College, Dinanagar on Alumni meet on Saturday, 8th of April, 2023, under the able patronage of Principal Dr. Reena Talwar and under the headship of Mrs. Jyoti Saini, Head, PG Department of Fashion Designing. It was a perfect blend of beauty and style to mesmerize the audience. The event commenced with invoking the diety by lightning the divine lamp and chanting of sacred Ved Mantras. Respected Principal Mam welcomed the distinguished guests and college Alumni with her wondrous speech. Taking into consideration the spectacular history of the institution, she talked about the acquisition of Skill Development in the students. She with her speech motivated everyone to excel in their lives.

The college managing committee members, secretary, Mr. Dharam Indu Gupta, Mr. Anil Gupta, Mr. Inder Gupta, Ms. Namita Gupta, Ms. Anju Gupta, along with them Ms. Upma Mahajan, Ms. Kusum Mahajan, Ms. Neelam Mahajan, Ms. Sarita Gupta,Mr. Naval Mahajan graced the event with their presence. The ramp walk dazzled the outstanding designer works stitched and designed by the  Department of Fashion Designing and worn by the students of fashion designing department and other departments of the college. The ambience was kept very artistic, designed with vivid and minimal colours. The show ranged from simplicity to modernism, from cultural to western wear, from waste material to creativity.   

The fashion show was divided into 7 segments namely, Teen Couture (kids wear), Indo-Western Wear, Office Apparels, Gown Glitz, Mosaic Splendour (State wise traditional costumes of India), Innovative Drapes and lehnga Elegante. There was a special guest round in which the special guests, college almuni and college faculty participated with great zeal and zest. Ms. Namita Gupta, Member, Managing Committee stood as 'Show Stopper' of the event with her extraordinary personality.

Dt. Milan Mahajan adored the event with her mesmerising dance. The other college Alumni, Ms. Veenu, Ms. Sanjeev Dogra, Ms. Reena Gupta, and Ms. Aarti Bhadwal also presented their words and reminisced their college memories.

At the completion of the event,  Principal Dr. Reena Talwar,  accompanied by the members of Managing Committee honoured the Alumni, Ms. Sanjeev Dogra, Dt. Milan Mahajan, Ms. Nidhi Saini, Ms. Subh Lata (Punjab Police), Ms. Minakshi (Punjab Police), Ms. Reena Gupta, Ms. Arti Bhadwal, Ms. Veenu, Ms. Inderveer Kaur, Inspector, Punjab Police, Ms. Promila, Kidz Care School, Dinanagar, Ms. Bandna Bala, Ms. Parul Kattal, Ms. Inderpreet kaur. The event sponsors, the Clara international Beauty Institute, Pathankot, Ms. Deepti Agarwal, president of  'Inner Wheel Club', secretary, Ms. Shelly Mahajan, Ms. Dolly Chopra, from 'Dolly boutique', Gurdaspur, 'Classic Beauty Parlour', Gurdaspur, Miss Punjaban Lehnga house, Gurdaspur, Vaishali Makeover, Sonia Transformation, Diksha Exclusive' Dinanagar, Mick Bakers, Dinanagar, were also honoured by the Principal Madam. Dr. Poonam Mahajan and Ms. Dilpreet Kaur handled the stage gracefully. All the guests commended the efforts bestowed by the Department of Fashion Designing. All the college staff members were present there. The show was a great success in all its grandeur.
